Surface defect detection in stiffened plate structures using Rayleigh-like waves
The research was supported by the Swiss National Science Foundation (PBEZ2-114186) and has led to follow-on funding (Applied Sciences Western Switzerland SAGE-X:27116) for an international collaboration with Prof. B.Masserey at EIA-FR Fribourg, Switzerland (Bernard.Masserey@hefr.ch) and Prof. J.Reymondin at HEIG-VD Yverdon, Switzerland (jean-pascal.reymondin@heig-vd.ch). The paper was published in the leading journal in nondestructive testing and received outstanding reviewer comments: ” The paper … contains much original material … adds to the on-going and interesting debate about how to best perform long-range testing of complex structures and so will be of significant interest to readers of NDT&E Int.” (Editor: B.Drinkwater@bristol.ac.uk).
