Double-weighted statement

This 264-page monograph is based on a decade of ethno-historical research (1993-2003), with six long fieldtrips and supplementary data on Guinea’s political instability added in 2007. Fieldwork was conducted in 17 coastal villages. Extensive archival research was also conducted in Guinea and France. The seven fieldwork/archive-based chapters are equivalent, at a minimum, to four articles in specialist, refereed journals.
