Double-weighted statement

This item is based on a long period of research that involved much interdisciplinary reading in the history of theology, philosophy and political theory. It presents a complex double thesis, requiring much intricate argumentation and citation: first that modern political theory consistently depends upon the assumptions of modern ontology, which it supports as well as echoes, and second that the entire politico-philosophical pattern of modern thought is built upon specific theological assumptions and for this reason remains both arbitrary and questionable.
