Additional information

Recent paper begins addressing the problem that international THz Groups do not pay due care to issues of metrology. Among bio-chemical laboratories particularly is an inability for independent reproducibility in proteomics results. Paper is a first step towards addressing this and to providing measurement traceability to standards. Paper represents continuing collaboration between QM Terahertz Lab and the National Physical Laboratory (richard.dudley@npl.co.uk), to promote an internationally agreed metrology for THz TDS based measurements. Links for exchange in THz engineering/basic science now in place with Russian Academy (Dr Vadim Evtikhiev (evtikhiev@mail.ioffe.ru), Ioffe Physical-Technical Institute, Russian Academy of Sciences.
