I am requesting double weighting for my monograph Pursuing Meaning as it is a substantial body of work (six chapters, pp. ix-234), the scale and scope of which required a research effort equivalent to that required to produce two or more single outputs. The work provides an extensive defence of 'minimal semantics' and provides an original discussion of minimalist views of word meaning. The book collects a considerable amount of material and presents an overarching argument for minimalism which is dependent on a lengthy series of sub-arguments, which required a substantial period of data collection and argument construction.
