The two beam pump-probe experimental techniques were initiated by Skolnick and his postdoctoral worker Sanvitto in Sheffield, which were then extended in close collaboration to the time resolved regime in Madrid, the subject of the paper. Skolnick then played a major role in the analysis of the results and the writing of the paper.
