Additional information

The study provides the first ever haptic displays of organ motility and tissue compliance made of electromechanically active polymers. It led to internationally leading collaboration with Northwestern University, Medical School and Engineering School, Chicago (Dr. Boschetti). It also led to invitations to the following five major international meetings; Medical Technology Expo 2013 (Keynote Lecture); BioRob 2012 – The 4th IEEE International Conference on Biomedical Robotics and Biomechatronics (Invited session); Horizon 2020 Lectures, GNB 2012 - Terzo Congresso Gruppo Nazionale Bioingegneria; Symposium on Bioinspired Materials Engineering - Materials Science & Technology (2010).
