Additional information

The ultra-fast crosslinking reaction allowed the formation of mechanically stable, bubble configured, protein capsules, not possible with slow crosslinking. The reaction proved suitable for general use at liquid-liquid interfaces (static and flowing) and was targeted in a microfluidics platform as part of a collaborative Marie Curie Action for bioanalysis (PIRSES – GA- 2009-247641) to which the Group were invited by STFC. The Action enabled a collaborative link with Fudan University through a 6 month visiting Fellow who fabricated suitable flow devices.
