Additional information

The trials of innovative single function robotic surgical tool reports the robust operation with respect to relevant tissues. The evidence confirms range of accessibility, detailed tissue response and the practical nature over the range of anatomical variations expected. This work is joint with clinical end-users and led to an industrial research contract with Cochlear (Australia-j.dalton@cochlear.com) and subsequent research trials with their company in Brussels. The work is published in a clinical Journal to disseminate to end-users. There is now a world-wide patent on the system (US 8,463,421) and the IP is currently under license with the manufacturer Sapere Systems (Fiona.marston@dial.pipex.com).
