Additional information

This paper presents the results of a study carried out to establish the suitability of 2G, 2.5G and 3G networks for the implementation of the system to navigate visually impaired people that was being developed at Brunel University at the time. In addition to this system, the study results are applicable in a much wider context - informing the development of any data-rich multimedia system/application requiring simultaneous two-way communication of video, voice and GPS/navigation data.
