I wrote the introduction to the special edition of Music, Sound and the Moving Image, which at c.8,000 words was always intended to stand as a paper in its own right and which contains a range of original research and ideas examining the relationship between texts that are re-invented for different media. I also commissioned and edited the three other papers in this volume, which required extensive critical dialogue with the authors. The volume also contains edited transcripts of two interviews I conducted with the composers Nicholas Hooper and James Hannigan (c. 4,500 and 7,000 words respectively).
