This is the first paper presenting multiuser interference resilient blind carrier-frequency-offset estimation for sub-band OFDMA systems. It introduced a new idea of handling the multi-user interference problem caused by frequency mismatch through employment of a simple multi-user linear precoding. It is highly recognised that frequency synchronisation is one of the major challenges for the design of future flexible mobile systems such as 5G. Therefore, it is our belief that the presented technique can inspire new waveform design for future wireless communications.
