Additional information

Rethinking Disability Representation in Museums and Galleries emerged from an action research project which addressed the absence and misrepresentation of disabled people in museums’ public programmes. A portfolio of evidence is submitted for this output comprising a research report, supporting analyses of data and context, and a film (DVD). The project brought together researchers, practitioners and disability activists to explore experimental approaches to disability representation resulting in 1 film, 7 exhibitions and 1 education programme for secondary schools in 9 UK museums. Dodd led (80%) on the vision and shaping of the project (from which the report, papers and film were produced).
