Additional information

Following recommendations from the CADCAM Centre, Middlesborough, Trevic Limited commissioned Beckwith to design, develop and prototype a unique solution to the problem of spills when feeding babies and small children. Beckwith’s solution to this design problem is the unique non-spill Unbelievabowl Set produced under the Vital Baby label. The bowl is designed to adhere to the baby's highchair or the tabletop with strong suction power. Once the bowl is attached to the surface a baby is unable to remove it or spill the contents, making mealtimes less messy. The product’s unique connecting system utilises an innovation of disks machined with quick release threads and sticky pads. The bowl can be easily twisted into the thread as a quick lock-release mechanism for ease when required to be removed from a surface by an adult. The Unbelievabowl is made from BPA-free materials and conforms to BS EN 14372. Beckwith designed and value-engineered the product from the client’s initial brief. He took the concept through prototyping and subsequently created data for the injection moulding tools which enabled the design to go into full production. The product has been well received in the global market place and is currently available in 3 different colours with matching spoon also designed and developed by Beckwith.
