Additional information

In this paper, the work on which was supported by the European Regional Development

Fund Franco-British INTERREG IVA (Project C5, Reference 4005) and the Royal Society (joint project with Russia, Reference JP 071790), a model for multi-component droplet heating and evaporation, taking into account the coupling between droplets and the ambient gas, is suggested. The model is recommended for the implementation into Computational Fluid Dynamics codes and used for engineering applications, including internal combustion engines. This paper led to successful application for the new EPSERC grant EP/K020528/1, the work on which is ongoing.
