Additional information

Output from the EPSRC Flood Risk Management Research Consortium project (http://www.floodrisk.org.uk/) brings 2D flood modelling to large urban areas without sacrificing accuracy and computational efficiency. The work has generated interest from industry and led directly to the current EPSRC project on simplified 2D/1D modelling for flood risk assessment in urban areas (EP/H015736/1) that is supported by 14 industrial partners, for which Savic is a PI. Industrial users include water companies, local government organisations and the developers and users of hydraulic and flood risk models in the UK and internationally (R.Kellagher@hrwallingford.com; Richard.Allitt@raaltd.co.uk; Dave.Stewart@torbay.gov.uk; Rob.Millington@innovyze.com).
