Additional information

This volume provides the first systematic analysis of the Eurasian Customs Union. It addresses the neglect of Eurasian integration in comparative studies of regional integration by analyzing this union as a rare example of highly legalized integration pursued by non-democracies. The contributions unpack the Custom Union’s institutional architecture and driving forces and examine its implications for neighbouring states, the WTO and the EU. Due to its empirical novelty and analytical contribution the volume helps shape a new field of regional integration. Dragneva’s contribution (a chapter plus a co-authored introduction and conclusion) gives an overall coherence to the volume.
