A 60 pW gmC Continuous Wavelet Transform circuit for portable EEG systems
This work, published in the leading circuit-design journal, created a continuous wavelet transform stage with 60pW power consumption. The state-of-the-art introduced has driven new work from places including the Netherlands (10.1109/ISCAS.2012.6272118) and USA (10.1109/WAMICON.2013.6572764). It has resulted in invited talks at ACM ISABEL 2011, Barcelona (contact details available) and in the "EEG monitoring brought to home" mini-symposium at the leading IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology conference 2013, Osaka (contact details available). It also led to being runner-up in the QUASAR USA dry sensor innovation challenge 2012 (details available).
