Laser micro/nano fabrication in glass with tunable-focus particle lens array
The work of this paper was advanced in with companion papers (J. Phys. D: Appl. Phys. 43, 305302 (2010); Appl. Phys. A., 101, 287-295 (2010); Nanotechnology 19, 455302 (2008)), to demonstrate a parallel nano-fabrication technology based on microsphere lenses and was featured in IOP website nanotechweb.org ( http://nanotechweb.org/cws/article/lab/36487).
The work contributed to the capture of a £ 1.1 M North West Development Agency, collaborative project between Manchester and Liverpool Universities: “ Knowledge Exchange in Laser Engineering (KE-LAS)” ( http://www.nwlec.org.uk/kelas.htm ) (2009-2012 : £ 420k to Manchester ).
