The findings of this paper have been applied to the development of a new Offset Deformable Barrier in collaboration with CELLBOND, ARUP and LandRover/Jaguar. The ODB is used for vehicle crash testing and has been adopted in safety standards such as EuroNCAP. See REF3b for further details.
