The work described in this paper has attracted the interest of Westinghouse Electric Company and Thor Energy (a subsidiary of Scatec). The PhD student involved in the work (Lindley) spent 4 weeks in 2012 with Westinghouse in Pittsburgh developing fuel designs in collaboration with Westinghouse fuel fabrication specialists.
