Language and Time: A Cognitive Linguistics Approach
The research underpinning this book involved the collection and analysis of an extensive set of data in the domain of time. It also involved a review of wide range of primary sources drawn from cognitive neuroscience, linguistics and cognitive and experimental psychology. This resulted in the development of a particularly complex theoretical architecture that involved accounting for reference strategies in the domain of time, as well as a theory capable of accounting for the role of both language and non-linguistic representations in adducing figurative meaning construction in the domain of time. The project was begun in July 2010, with the published output appearing in October 2013.
