Additional information

This research led to a world leading performance in energy density for a cantilever energy harvester (improved by 100%). The results and methodology have led to a number of further developments of energy harvesting technology for battery-free wireless sensing in various applications through grants: (1) EP/E001874/1 grant via IMRC grant IMRC-162 for aerospace (£149k), (2) DSTL grant via MAST STC-CDE23681 for MoD (£50k), and (3) FP7 chist-era grant via EPSRC (EP/K017950, £465k) for Green ICT.
