Additional information
This research was funded by Yorkshire Water, looking at internal carbon sources for biological nutrient removal. The outputs of the project were incorporated into modelling tool that helped Yorkshire Water to make a pre-selection of the most suitable technologies for phosphorus removal at defined sites, potentially resulting in capital and operational savings (Elizabeth.wood@yorkshirewater.co.uk).
