Double-weighted statement

This is one of three volumes in the Corpus Rubenianum series, which, as a group, have taken me over twenty years to research, write and prepare for publication. The present volume is approximately 224,900 words. The introduction (53,300 words) is close to being a self-contained monograph. The book contains 102 catalogue entries which amount to a series of essays on problems in sixteenth and seventeenth-century art. Editorial work was supported by the Centrum voor de Vlaamse Kunst van de 16e en 17e eeuw in Antwerp, under the direction of Professor Dr. Carl Van de Velde and his colleagues.
