Additional information

The largest ever practical analogue circuit (Time Interval Meter Circuit for the laser rangefinder DAQ-2) is designed by combining evolvable hardware (namely substructure reuse, dynamic fitness function and incremental evolution) and classical circuit design. The evolved circuit is currently used by Scientific-Technical Centre REB, Kazakhstan (contact Y.Sapargaliyev). This work is partially sponsored by Concept Engineering Company. It has led to the knowledge transfer to the strategy demand forecast domain and to the project sponsored by Caterpillar (contact T.Grichnik). The developed approach was ranked second in 2011/2012 Caterpillar‘s Strategy Demand Competition and is currently approved to be used by Caterpillar.
