These new approaches to the analysis of engineering operations along the value chain have been used by major engineering businesses including BAE Systems (ID_in_audit_file@baesystems.com) to inform major revisions to

engineering activities and to design their through-life engineering support systems and follow-on research identifies key roles of individual engineering centres within global engineering network operations. Led to the following research grants: UKIERI-British Council: Understanding India and UK Food Industries UKUTP201100194), Europe-China High Value Engineering Network (EC/HVEN): Shaping Sustainable Engineering Sectors in Europe and China *(PIRSES-GA-2011-295130) and EPSRC Engineering Driven Sustainable Supply Networks - a UK India Collaborative Study (EP/K02888X/1).
