The findings of this work contributed to Al-Tabbaa’s recent large EPSRC project Materials for Life (M4L) (EP/K026631/1, total value GBP1.67M) on future construction materials with significant industrial leverage. The Cambridge PI, Al-Tabbaa gave related invited lectures (SCI, Nov 2010; NUS and NTU Singapore, Oct 2012). Follow-on work led to patent application in China (ZL201010604325.2, 2010). Al-Tabbaa is providing consultancy to URS on WRAP funded project on related resources and end-of-life issues. Post-doc Dr Vandeperre has since been promoted to a senior lectureship at Imperial College.
