Additional information

Dr. Sutcliffe applied the techniques developed in this paper on an industrial project on ultrasound imaging of fibre waviness with Vestas, one of the companies supporting this work (ref Vronsky, ID_in_audit_file@vestas.com). Fibre waviness has a critical impact on the mechanical properties of composite structures and the aim of this project was to improve post-processing methods of non-destructive testing to improve quality control of the wind turbine blades produced by Vestas.
