Additional information

Advanced diagnostics developed at Liverpool were used to produce one of the most detailed spatial surveys of plasma jet treatment of polymers to date. The work was funded by an International Science Linkage grant [CG120119 “Micron-scale surface chemical gradients”]. The technique has been emulated elsewhere [http://ieeexplore.ieee.org/stamp/stamp.jsp?tp=&arnumber=6269114]. The paper was recognised by the editors of the journal as one of their top articles freely available on line of the last two years [Carmen Teutsch, “Free Access-The Best of Plasmas Processes and Polymers” Materialsviews.com, 28-02-2011].
