This publication is a principal outcome of the AHRC large grant project "Performing Presence: from the live to the simulated", 2005-9, for which Kaye was Principal Investigator. Kaye is the first author of both parts of this submission. Kaye led the selection of material, content authorship and design of the DVD-ROM. The DVD-ROM provides an analysis and audio and textual commentary on performance experiments in CAVE, an immersive VR environment. The article contextualizes and extends this analysis. Kaye led the process the item analyses, including the design, authorship and direction of VR scenarios. Detailed credits are available on the DVD-ROM.
