Additional information

An international patent is pending for this manufacturing technique. Site trials in France and the UK have demonstrated that up to 80% reduction in solvent consumption can be achieved. Heads of Agreement and/or Licences have been issued to specified companies. The technology is being commercialised by Mould Life (retrofits) and Pultrex (new-build) equipment. Contact: Julian Ferries (MD), Mould Life Ltd. julian@mouldlife.co.uk. An EPSRC grant (GR/S08572/02) led to the development of this technology which was recently adapted for pultrusion via EPSRC grant (TS/G000387/1). Commercialisation of the clean production technology was enabled via a TSB grant (BD072K).
