Linear and non-linear methods to analyse the drivability of a through-the-road parallel hybrid electric vehicle
This paper is the first example of experimentally validated drivability analysis of a through-the-road parallel hybrid electric vehicle. The research presented in the article opens up a new methodology for the design of the anti-jerk controllers for this hybrid electric vehicle layout. The industrial impact can be confirmed by several drivetrain experts, such as Prof. Giorgio Rizzoni (rizzoni.1@osu.edu ),Ford Motor Company Chair in Electro-Mechanical Systems at the Ohio State University, USA, and Fabrizio Amisano (Fabrizio.Amisano@venaria.marelli.it) of Magneti Marelli SpA. The control structure is being evaluated on a Mercedes SLS AMG prototype vehicle developed by Oerlikon Graziano and Daimler Benz.
