Additional information

The paper presents the first formal method for analyzing the design, operations simulation and financial settlement for sets of decentralized energy generation, storage and use – now of high commercial interest, related to Smartgrids. Based on the work, for example, Bosch now funding research at Surrey on modelling hybrid home energy systems, having developed a large business and R&D effort in-house. Based on this work, the authors were invited to join the International Energy Agency’s ‘annex 42’ group developing international best practice for micro-generation modeling.
