Additional information

In collaboration with QinetiQ (EPSRC iCASE award and EMRS DTC Projects), this paper introduces the concept of how to best present RF load-pull information, current-voltage waveforms, in a manner highly informative to device engineers, introducing the term “RF fan diagrams”. This is being exploited by QinetiQ (Michael Uren, phmju@bristol.ac.uk) in their GaN device technology development. In an on-going research project it is helping WIN Semiconductor (walterw@winfoundry.com), a leading international III-V foundry company, develop their GaN MMICs product line. Application examples have been presented at international conferences (IMS-2012, ManTech-2013, EuMW-2013) and to international industry through the author’s Distinguished Microwave Lectureship (2008-2011).
