This highly interdisciplinary work was the result of a major DTI-TSB-funded MNT project : ‘Molecular Electronic Gas Sensors’, Feb 2005 – Feb 2008. The project included major industrial companies (QinetiQ, Semefab,Servomex) who invested money. It was also funded by the EPSRC [GS/84064/01 – Durham; GR/S84057/01 – Lancaster, GR/S84071/02 – Bangor]. Timothy Cox was the overall PI for the TSB project. It has an associated US patent granted: US7619265(B2).
