<21>This paper presents the design and implementation of a SIP and an IP Multimedia Service(IMS) client. In 2008, there were no available IMS clients to test IMS services for academic purposes. The ones that were available were commercial products. The work presented in the paper is significant because it was one of the first few implementations of SIP/IMS client. The paper also presents the performance results of the client in a real-life test bed.
