Additional information

The paper shows that a Fibre Re-enforced Plastic (FRP) concrete beam offers a lower ultimate deflection than the non-strengthened beam by up to 70% when subjected to one million cycles of fatigue loading. The beam reinforced by diagonal FRP sheets has the first crack load 25% higher than that of the reference beam. The paper was one of the 20 most downloaded papers in 2012 from the journal Engineering Structures (evidence file Guan3-1.pdf).
