A stochastic joint time-frequency analysis technique is developed for the response determination of nonlinear structural systems. It was an invited paper presented at the International Union on Theoretical and Applied Mechanics Symposium on Nonlinear Stochastic Dynamics and Control, Hangzhou, China, May, 2010 (Evidence file: Kougioumtzoglou1-1) and was selected for publication in a Special Issue of Probabilistic Engineering Mechanics. The co-author is a member of the National Academy of Engineering (USA).
