Additional information

Sampling and approximation methods are developed to allow a transonic aeroelastic stability boundary to be rapidly generated using a coordinated search of a hierarchy of aerodynamic models of increasing complexity and computational cost. The method has been implemented into the production release of the German Aerospace center computational fluid dynamics code TAU which is used as a principle design tool by Airbus (markus.widhalm@dlr.de evidence file Timme1-1.pdf).
