Additional information

Influence of polymer finite-extensionability was quantified for the purely-elastic flow asymmetry which arises in cross-slot flow. Follow-on work was funded by European Research Council starting grant (reference 307499) won by co-author Alves (evidence file Poole3-1.pdf). Presented by Poole as a Keynote at an invitation only workshop on “Flow Instabilities & Turbulence in Viscoelastic Fluids” held at the Lorentz Center (Universiteit Leiden, The Netherlands) in July 2010 (evidence file Poole3-2.pdf).
