Additional information

Quantification of the regional variation of sclera stiffness. This has been essential in improving the accuracy of predictive simulations of the eye globe, leading to the development of medical devices for continuous monitoring of the eye’s internal pressure and for the estimation corneal stiffness in-vivo. A collaboration with UltraVision (Evidence file: Elsheikh3-1). Results have been adopted by the Institute for Surgical Technologies at Bern University in development of predictive technologies of the eye’s response to surgery (evidence file Elsheikh3-2.pdf).
