Additional information
Thin films of ABO3 (SrTiO3) materials were studied during high intensity positron beamtime at the Munich Research Reactor FRMII and fundamental point defects, the A-site monovacancy and the B-site monovacancy unambiguously identified for the first time in a thin film. The work has resulted, so far, in five successful beamtime applications, three of which are establishing new international collaborations (Aachen, Cornell, Madison). The work has also resulted in invited presentations, for example at the 2012 Nature Conference "Frontiers in Electronic Materials" and at SLOPOS13.
