Political Radicalism in France: Changing Paradigms

James Shields secured agreement from the journal to plan this special issue and, as sole guest editor, commissioned all of the contributions from leading specialists in French politics and political activism from France, the UK and Canada. He contributed his own single-authored article (10,800 words) based on original research, and he wrote the Introduction (4,800 words) setting the framework for the issue’s focus on the changing nature of political radicalism in France. He edited all six articles by the other contributors and oversaw the thematic coherence of the issue.
