Additional information

Collaboration between NPL and Cranfield, funded by EPSRC GR/R68139/01 (sub-project £464,000) and NPL. This work established the fundamental science required for measurement uncertainty low enough to redefine the kelvin. The kelvin and Boltzmann constant will be redefined based on these measurement results having improved Boltzmann measurement uncertainty by an order of magnitude.
