One of few papers providing a semi-empirical model for total aeration within an Membrane Bioreactor (MBR). The practical work on which the paper was based helped inform the design and successful implementation of the MBR used at the Olympic Park during the 2012 Summer Games in London (rupert.kruger@thameswater.co.uk).
