Additional information

The instability of thin film solar panels is a current issue for technologists in industry. This paper explains the root causes of these instabilities, describes them in terms of defects in semiconductors and proposes possible solutions. The paper was based on new science secured in six GB patents (GB 2384621, GB 2396868, GB 2397944, GB 2397945, GB 2397946, GB 2400725), and resulted from a collaboration with Showa-Shell Company in Japan. It will contribute to the development of thin film solar panels with high stability. In addition, the breakthroughs and research in this group led to a release of a single authored book on "Advances in Thin Film Solar Cells".
