Additional information

This paper presents research on designing behavior model for virtual humans in crowd simulation under normal and emergency situations. A case study has shown that realistic human behaviors can be generated at both individual and group levels. This project (No.: POD 0613456) is financially supported by Defence Science & Technology Agency, Singapore, to create 3D real-time strategy based simulation for managing crowds. Tian is the Co-PI of the project. The research on agent-based simulation has sparked further publications in the 6th International ICST Conference on Simulation Tools & Techniques (2013) and the Springer journal Transactions on Computational Science XII (2011).
