Additional information

This paper describes a key methodology for analysing and modelling spatio-temporal systems which helped secure the renewal of the EPSRC Platform Grant (EP/H00453X) in Signal and Information Processing of Complex Systems. It led to a new collaboration (from October 2009) with Professor Grayden (grayden@unimelb.edu.au) at the University of Melbourne Centre for Neural Engineering to analyse data generated from their laboratory. The methodology, which has generalised the modelling paradigm for a particular class of spatio-temporal model, was deemed by Professor Grayden to be ideally suited to analysing neural electrical field data of patients with neurological disorders.
