Additional information
This paper describes the first use of a bispecific antibody in a new sensor platform. The paper details an antibody that releases a fluorescent probe when it binds an enzyme specific to wound infection, a system designed to aid clinicians treating chronic wounds. The potential applicability of this novel sensor platform that offers rapid clinical analysis with high specificity resulted in Professor Riley giving an invited lecture at the 9th PEGS (Protein Engineering Summit) in Boston USA, the principal meeting of the protein engineering industry.
